Probably Stolen water purification: finish a sellable batch

Test the water first. For an ordinary Basewater or Ghostwater batch, use UV if available, then pour through a filter fitted in a pitcher. Test the result and label the actual grade. Reserve the powered purifier for contaminants or quality targets the pitcher cannot finish.

Buy the batch you can finish

Your first useful setup is a water-testing tool, a pitcher and a water filter. UV is a useful addition because it converts microbes into water before the filter spends durability on the remaining mixture. Keep an empty bottle for the output, and leave enough cash for bills and the next purchase.

A label is a claim, not a test. Use a Water Testing Strip for purity or AquaScan for the mixture breakdown before deciding what the seller's bottle is worth. The household-goods seller supplies pitchers, filters and testing kits; the water sign attracts a water supplier. The Water Trading upgrade in Wild's network is another entry into the line.

Water Trading Manual: Pure Water starts at 99.9%, High-Quality at 99%, Basewater at 98%, Ghostwater at 96%, Rustwater at 90%, and Gutterflow below 90%.
The in-game manual gives the grades and warns that labels can be wrong. Select the image to inspect the original screenshot.
AquaScan reads tested 91.96% Rustwater and lists the separate Rustwater label above a contaminant breakdown.
The scan has a tested result and a separate label. The shown readings are one example. Select the image to inspect the original screenshot.

One bottle of Basewater: choose the route you can fund

Starting position: you already own one tested bottle of Basewater, a pitcher with a usable filter, a tester and a red labeler. Rent money is set aside. You want to turn this bottle into honestly labeled stock without buying a powered purifier.

If you own UV: use it first, then filter. If you do not own UV: filter the Basewater with the equipment you have; do not spend the rent reserve to add UV for this one bottle. Retest after filtering in either case. If the filter is worn out or your tester is missing, the next purchase is that missing supply, not another batch of water.

  1. Test the source

Keep this batch separate until you know its grade and contaminants. Choose the route below from the tested result.

  2. Remove microbes first

If you own UV, use it on the water before filtering. This preserves the water that would otherwise be removed with the microbes.

  3. Filter into the pitcher

Fit the water filter in the pitcher, then pour the source water into it. Check remaining filter durability and container capacity.

  4. Test the result

Check the final grade and volume; filtering can leave less sellable liquid than you bought. A higher starting grade does not guarantee Pure Water.

  5. Bottle, label and sell

Fill suitable bottles, apply the measured grade with the red labeler and keep the pitcher and tools for the next batch.

The existing bottle moves through one treatment and test before it returns to saleable stock.

Consumed or reduced: a disposable test strip, filter durability and some liquid volume. Retained: pitcher, UV, labeler and reusable AquaScan if that is your tester. Keep those tools out of the sale. Selling the finished water also parts with its sale container, so reserve another empty bottle before planning the next batch.

End check: the bottle has the tested grade, the actual sale covers the batch's consumed supplies, and cash still covers bills plus replacement supplies. If filters are now the limiting input, replace a filter first. Buy UV or a machine only after the shop can fund both the upgrade and another complete batch. For Ghostwater, microbe treatment matters more; use its route below rather than assuming this Basewater case applies unchanged.

Match the tool to the job

Basewater or High-Quality source waterUV if available, then a pitcher with a water filter; test after treatment.Promising Pure Water from every batch.
GhostwaterUse UV or a purification tablet before filtering; test the outcome.Relabeling from the source name without checking the result.
Rustwater or GutterflowHydraTech can bring sub-98% water toward Basewater; follow with ordinary treatment. Compare the purchase and tool cost first.Expecting a regular pitcher filter to remove every chemical and heavy metal.
Water with remaining chemicals or heavy metalsUse a powered Water Purifier when its output target and running cost justify the wait.Buying Performance modules as a substitute for the Quality needed at a purity limit.

Tablet capacity: a purification tablet adds 15 ml. Leave that much space before using one; adding it to a full container can discard liquid. UV does not need this extra ingredient space. HydraTech is a durability-limited handheld tool and is different from the powered Water Purifier.

A stalled reading needs a different check

  1. Did the treatment run? Check the machine's battery, input container and overnight report. A machine with no power cannot improve a batch.
  2. Did the cheap treatment finish its job? A pitcher filter cannot clear every kind of contamination. Repeating it on already-treated water can consume time without making the target grade.
  3. Is the powered purifier at its limit? Its Quality changes the remaining contamination floor; Performance changes the work done per cycle. More speed alone does not guarantee a cleaner endpoint.
  4. Is the scanner result hidden? UPDATE 049 fixes a delayed AquaScan tooltip and brings scanner panels forward. Inspect the actual result panel before scanning repeatedly.

Start with the complete purifier diagnosis when a bottle appears unchanged: its label may be old even though its actual water improved.

A Water Purifier window has separate Power Source, Modules and Water Container slots.
Check power at the left, modules in the middle and the container at the right. Select the image to inspect the original screenshot.

Finish the cash cycle before expanding

Sell under the measured grade, retain your reusable tools and compare the sale with the water purchase, consumed filters, tablets, printed bottles and power. Water is not profit while it is still sitting in containers waiting for a buyer.

If the bottleneck is empty bottles, get the required container before buying another purifier. If finished water is piling up, solve the sales bottleneck first. If every batch sells and bills are covered, a Moisture Farm can supply water overnight, provided it has a container and power. Keep the next batch's money separate from the expansion purchase.

Demo scope: the operation above combines the official interface and UPDATE 049 notes with The Exceptional Fisherman's September demo observations. It is not a full-release yield table or a claim of playtesting by this site.

For the full six-grade reference and testing-tool choice, use water testing and grades: read the bottle before buying.
